Sonoma County wine country is one of the most beautiful places in America. It is scenic with moderate temperatures and is filled with people who appreciate art. My family has just moved here and we plan to stay put in this lovely part of the world for the rest of our lives.

As we settle into our new neighborhood, I am finding plenty of inspiration for paintings. I have started a series of poppy paintings working from photo references shot in my new Santa Rosa neighborhood. Right now the wildflowers are keeping me busy but soon the lavender, sunflowers, olives, grapes and pumpkins in the area should inspire more than I can paint in this year. As much as I love painting still life arrangements I am finding great enjoyment searching outdoors for my art subjects.

In time I hope to find an art studio with a public front where I can sell my artwork; until that time comes I will continue to paint here in my home and sell my work online.
